Celebration of Baptism!

We had a wonderful celebration of baptism this past Sunday. Seven of our children shared their testimonies and were baptized during the 10:45 worship service! Praise the Lord! I must admit, my heart about bursts with JOY when I see our kids step out and publicly choose JESUS is such a beautiful way! Can I say it again? PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Be praying for these young disciples as they continue to grow and mature in their spiritual walk!

Children are a blessing!!

I hear it often.................especially from new visitors to our church and even from my children's pastor colleagues across our district!

"Gee..........you sure do have a LOT of kids at Marysville Nazarene!" they exclaim. In reply, I always smile and say..........."Yeah, we sure do!".

We have more than 120 children who regularly attend here every week. I've been told that for a congregation of around 400, that is a higher than normal average. What a blessing! What a joy! What a privilege! And at the same time..........What a responsibility!

God has entrusted us with a great responsibility to love, nurture and disciple each and everyone of these children. This is not a job that just ONE person or even a handful of people can accomplish. It will take ALL of us....... working and praying, teaching and mentoring, loving and guiding............to get the job done!

My prayer is as you read this that God will begin to show YOU how you can truly invest in the spiritual nurture of our children. Every child in our congregation needs us to be ready to joyfully and willingly take on this divine mission! Are you ready? Let's get to work!

Baptism Sunday

On Sunday morning, March 21 at Marysville Nazarene we will be having a special baptism service. Children who have asked Jesus into their heart and are interested in being baptized on Sunday March 21 should contact Pastor Vicki ASAP to indicate their interest.

Pastor Vicki will meet with interested children and their parents after the morning services on Sunday March 14th. We'll meet in the "old" kitchen for approx. a half hour. During the meeting we'll have a simple snack, talk about baptism, share our testimonies and do a practice walk-through (without the water, of course! LOL!).

Incindentally, this baptism service is not just for children. Any adults or teens who would like to be baptized can contact the church office to express their interest.
